By using osinowolaw.com and/or creating a Client Account through Karyn Osinowo Law Offices’ virtual law office application, you agree without modification to these terms and conditions and acknowledge reading them.

No Attorney-Client Relationship or Legal Advice
Neither receipt of information presented on osinowolaw.com nor any email or other electronic communication sent to Karyn Osinowo Law Offices or its attorneys through osinowolaw.com will create an attorney-client relationship. No user of osinowolaw.com should act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of information included on osinowolaw.com without first consulting legal counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
The firm does not read anonymous email. The firm does not respond to email from non-clients who ask legal questions. Do not send confidential information to Karyn Osinowo Law Offices unless and until (1) the firm has confirmed to you in writing that there are no conflicts of interest, and (2) the firm has requested that you send such information.
Karyn Osinowo Law Offices does not provide free legal advice through this website. Please also refrain from sending me the ubiquitous "pick my brain" requests and other thinly-veiled ways of trying to extract free advice. It's not professional, nor is it fair to me, my family, or my clients who have made an investment of their resources in order to work with me. All such requests will be summarily deleted and otherwise ignored.
Free Legal Services
Karyn Osinowo Law Offices does not provide free legal services. The lawyer responsible for this site already provides a limited amount of pro bono legal services through her volunteer work with various civil legal service organizations.
Casual Legal Advice
The request for casual legal advice often arises in social settings, where a non-client or prospective client wants an attorney to "look over" a document, or express her professional opinion on a legal matter, or on the merits of any course of action, and for which the attorney has (or should have) no expectation of remuneration.
Karyn Osinowo Law Offices does not provide casual legal advice or answer casual legal questions for non-clients or prospective clients under any circumstance and without regard to whether a person or an entity intends to act or rely upon any such opinion.
It is this firm's policy to treat any request for casual legal advice as a request for formal legal representation, in which case the following conditions precedent must be met: (1) the prospective client registers through the virtual law office application on osinowolaw.com; (2) the prospective client gives the firm sufficient information in order to complete an intake form; (3) the firm performs a conflicts check and confirms in writing to the prospective client that there are no conflicts of interest; and (4) the prospective client and the firm execute an Attorney-Client Agreement which memorializes their agreement with respect to the scope and terms of the legal representation, including but not limited to the fee and payment terms.
When Karyn Osinowo Law Offices expresses an opinion as to whether the firm will be able to represent a prospective client, as in the course of an initial consultation after gathering factual information and after discussing the desired objective(s), it is not providing casual legal advice.
